    • A medium sized dog crate is available to borrow. No dog bedding is supplied

    • Dogs need to be kept on leads outside the cottage fenced area, unless advised otherwise by the site owner

    • Dogs must not be left unsupervised in the cottage, glampsite or in the grounds at any time

    • Standard check-out time is 11am

  • Safety and security

    • For safety and security cottage gates and glamping gates must be closed and locked, where a lock is fitted, at all times. For safety, when the cottage gates are open they should be hooked in place

    • Under the new fire regulations electric vehicles cannot be charged using a domestic 3-pin socket. The closest public charging points are in Diss town centre

    • Emergency smoke detectors, carbon dioxide detectors, heat detectors and emergency lighting must not be tampered with, removed or covered and any time

    • The use of candles or any live flames within the cottage, "Rock Bus", tent or games room are not permitted

  • What's included in the cottage rental?

    • All bedding, towels, pots, pans, cooking equipment, cutlery, crockery, glasses, cups, an initial bag of firewood and kindling, two freestanding heaters for the bedrooms and hot water bottles if the temperature really drops (it is England after all!)

  • What's included in the glamping site?

    • All bedding, towels, pots, pans, cooking equipment, cutlery, crockery, glasses, cups, an initial bag of firewood and kindling, two rechargeable lights for use in the bell tent and/or when sitting outside, a rechargeable power pack for lighting in the bus, three hot water bottles if the temperature really drops! Combined fire pit/BBQ, BBQ cooking rack and BBQ tools

  • What's in the welcome pack?

    • The welcome pack usually contains 2 pints of milk, half a loaf of bread, a small pack of butter, a carton of orange juice, cornflakes and a small pack of treats

    • In both cottage and glamping kitchens; tea, coffee and sugar are supplied to get you started. In addition cooking oil, salt & pepper, hot chocolate and possibly other stuff previous guests have left that I think is edible!

  • Do we need to bring extra wood for the wood burner or fire pit?

    • The initial bag of wood supplied should last at least one night and possibly more depending on the outside temperature, how warm you like it and if you are cooking with it. Additional bags of firewood can be purchased on site (£9 per bag), bought locally or brought with you. If you intend to cook on the fire-pits\BBQ I recommend bringing your own charcoal as it creates a higher and longer lasting cooking temperature. The highest quality charcoal is usually British made charcoal which is also a far more environmentally sustainable product

  • What is an "eco-loo"?

    • The Green Dragon Glamping eco-loo is a completely off-grid, waterless compost toilet. It combines a urine diverting system with a solid waste wheelie-bin collection unit. By separating out the urine from the solid waste it almost completely eliminates the odours associated with more basic and traditional all-in-one 'long-drop' toilets

    • If guests prefer not to use the eco-loo there is standard flushing toilet next to the games room

    • For gentlemen there is also a standard waterless urinal in the glamping field next to the eco-loo and shower block

  • Where do we park and how many cars can park on site?

    • Cottage: two cars can easily park within the cottage parking area, any additional cars can park either in front of the gates or next to the games room

  • Where are the closest pubs, are they walking distance?

  • Is there anything in particular that we need to bring?

    • Cottage: apart from clothing, your personal wash kit and food you shouldn't require anything else. There are a couple of wild swimming and/or paddle boarding places 30-60mins drive away, so a swimsuit is a great idea if that takes your fancy. Please note that we do not supply any liquid or solid soaps for the shower

    • Glamping: in addition to clothing, your personal wash kit and food you should consider an extra layer for sitting outside in the evenings (sometimes even a hat and gloves on a cool summers evening is not a bad idea), If you are planning any walks then sturdy and waterproof footwear would be a great idea not just for then but also if there is a heavy dew on the grass. There are a couple of wild swimming and/or paddle boarding places 30-60mins drive away, so a swimsuit is a great idea if that takes your fancy. Please note that we do not supply any liquid or solid soaps for the shower
